The "Dashboard" is broken

Business leaders once championed dashboards as windows into how an organization performs. Then they became too familiar and too technical, and their value faded. I trace why: dashboard rot, data teams who were never trained in design or communication, and the complexity of tools like D3.js. Then I argue for measuring BI by the decisions it makes easier, not by the number of reports it produces.
